This Tuba is the large bell 19.7" in like new condition with no dings or dents. If I were to give this horn a s core on condition with 10 being the highest it would score 9.8. Bore is a .748 for vales 1-3, .787" 4th Valve, .807" 5th Valve. Pitch on this model can be hit or miss but this is a hit. If your looking for a 5/4 CC that can do it all then this of the horn for you. Tuba comes MAW valves, MAW stems and MAW Valve caps. As to a case, we can fit this with an in stock brand new Cronkite gig bag or even a new flight case. We will consider a Trade-in with the right Tuba if needed. Pics are on the way.

This is a great silver F Tuba in fantastic shape showing minimal wear. Many call this a 6/4 size F Tuba and with all respect plays with a sound like a 6/4 size. In my measurements the bell throat, upper and bottom bows are very close to that of the B&S PT15 model. The main difference between this and the PT15 is noted in the low register and that is where this horn really shows its versatility. The upper register is one of the best of any F Tubas we have ever played and you can't beat this horn at our amazing price. A new Cronkite gig bag can be added at a nominal cost. Pics are on the way.

What a rare find this is and it's one of those tubas you may never see again. The wrape is very similar to the Yamaha 822 and the low register is as good as it gets for any F Tuba on the market today. Size of this F tuba is definitely a true 6/4, larger than the 822, but comes with all the attributes of the F and a smooth warm sound. This is a do it all horn that can be used in quintet, orchestra and especially as a solo instrument. If your looking to downsize to one single Tuba then thisbis for you. The craftsmanship of the Hirshbrunner is considered to be the Cadillac in the brass industry and this horn is proof of that. Pics are on the way

This used 6/4 BBb is in gold lacquer and plays well. It is surprisingly nimble and in tune for such a large BBb. From the Wessex website:An original 6/4 BBb designed by Chuck Nickles and all handcrafted with sheet metal for a highly responsive and totally flexible tuba, which is exceptionally lightweight for its huge size. The tone of this tuba very much resurrects the great American tubas of the past, but with much better intonation and response. The sound has to be heard to be believed - maybe the best BBb tuba in the world?

Price: Considering Reasonable Offers
This is a rare Vienna-style F tuba made in the 1950's. All valves and linkages work great with excellent compression. Pull any slide just a 1/4 inch without the valve down and they all pop nicely when depressed. This could be used as designed or makes a perfect candidate for a conversion to a modern 4+2 vale setup. Pitch is great but the upper register ha one of the classic beautiful sounds that will blow you away. The low register is not an issue and overall has a lot of potential. We are taking reasonable offers at this time so don't be afraid to make an offer and probably walk away with it. The tuba is totally hand-made and with only two dents we have identified, one on the bottom and one on the top bow guard. These are fairly shallow and in my opinion not worth taking out as they don't affect the sound or pitch.

Big Mouth Brass is a tuba company initially founded as part of the W. Nirschl brass division of the Gemeinhardt flute company in 2006. This instrument was built on German tooling purchased from Walter Nirschl. When new ownership at Gemeinhardt decided to focus solely on woodwinds, Mr. Richard Barth (owner) decided the tuba division was too important to let fade and so BMB was born in 2010. A large, easy-blowing front action piston F tuba. This was designed to be the higher pitched companion to the York style tuba Arnold Jacobs used in the Chicago symphony. This is a professional model f tuba used in recitals and concert halls by professionals such as Gene Pokorny (Chicago Symphony) and Don Harry (Buffalo Philharmonic). This particular instrument was played professionally by Dr. Christopher Lair. The first valve has been vented and lapped. The first valve slide has also been lapped to move freely. The adjustable thumb ring has been changed to a knob for easy (no tools!) "on-the-fly" adjustment.
Features:
Valves: 4 front action piston valves, 5th rotary (dependent)
Bore: .730"/.750"
18" bell
